Family Resource Library
Thanks to a grant from the Rochester Public School Foundation, funds were available to establish a Family Resource Library at Franklin/Montessori at Franklin in 2005. The library includes books, learning games and activity packets which parents/guardians can use with their children to practice math, reading and spelling skills. There are also books in two languages (Spanish/English, Hmong/English, and Somali/English), multi-cultural books and books with tapes. Parents/guardians may also check out books and videos related to parenting issues.

Materials are available at no charge and may be checked out for a period of 1-2 weeks. The Family Resource Library is a great place to find games and activities for supporting your child’s learning at home.

Here is a sampling of learning games available for check-out:

Alpha-Bug Soup Word Game (phonics & spelling for ages 5-10)
4-Way Spell Down (6+)
Frog Pond Fractions Game
I Spy Word Scramble (7+)
Quizmo Geometry (9+)
